Friday, 21 February 2025 – The participants of the CSC 15/2025, for the first time, met with their respective supervisors as part of the Defence and Security Research Exercise module. This initiative marks a significant step forward in fostering academic collaboration between the Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) and Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD).
The supervisors, all esteemed academics from UBD, bring diverse expertise and backgrounds, ensuring a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to the research undertaken by the CSC 15/2025 participants as part of their journey in undergoing their Masters of Defence and Security Studies (MDSS).
This engagement reflects the continued progress of the Faculty of Military Studies (FMS) after the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between DA RBAF and UBD in 2024, further strengthening academic and professional development in the field of defence and security.
The FMS and the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS), UBD, were responsible for organising the engagement, which was held at the ILIA Building, UBD. This initiative underscores the commitment to enhancing defence education by integrating rigorous academic research with practical military insights.
