TANAH JAMBU, Thursday, 16 January, 2025 — The
Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Command and Staff Course (CSC) 15/2025
officially opened today at the Defence Academy RBAF, officiated by Major
General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan,
Commander of the RBAF. Notable attendees included Dr. Hazri bin Haji
Kifle, Vice Chancellor of University Brunei Darussalam, senior officers,
and representatives from the Royal Brunei Police Force and
international defence attachés. 

The ceremony featured a
recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Surah AI-AnfaI by Lieutenant
Commander Abdul Azim bin Haji Abdul Rahman, RBN, followed by remarks
from the Guest of Honour highlighting the importance of international
collaboration. A symbolic flag unfurling underscored the commitment to
fostering camaraderie among participants. This year’s course includes 37
officers: 16 from RBAF, one from the Ministry of Defence, one officer
from RBPF, and 19 international officers from 15 countries including
Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Jordan, Malaysia,
Oman, Pakistan, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, the
UK, and the USA. 

Upon completion,
participants will receive the ‘Passed Staff Course (Joint)’
qualification from DA RBAF and Master of Defence and Security Studies
from UBD.
