​TANAH JAMBU, DEFENCE ACADEMY, Friday, 3 September 2021 - The 11th Command and Staff Course (CSC11) today listened to a lecture on the subject Information Operations by a guest speaker from US-INDOPACOM, Major Meredith Fonseca. The lecture was held virtually via video-teleconference and was attended online by the CSC11 course participants, members of the Directing Staff and observed by Commander Randall Jones from the US Embassy in Bandar Seri Begawan.

LECTURE ON ‘INFLUENCE AND INFORMATION OPERATIONS’ TO 10TH COMMAND AND STAFF COURSE

JAMBU, Monday, 10 August 2020
 – Mr. Tony Serna, the Military Information
Support Operations (MISO) Planner from the United States Indo-Pacific Command
(USINDOPACOM), today delivered
an online lecture via Zoom
on “Influence and Information Operations” to the 10th Command and
Staff Course, Royal Brunei Armed Forces. Mr.
Serna provided an in-depth lesson on integrated MISO
concepts, plans and assessments, including the collection of tactical
information about an adversary, as well as the development and employment of a
suitable narrative in pursuit of a competitive advantage over an opponent.
The lecture provided several rhetorical tools that can help to maximize
advantageous MISO effects. He also briefed the course on how to determine the
effectiveness of an argument, including the analysis of its intended effects to
best ensure effective communication through various approaches and techniques.

THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES AMBASSADOR TO BRUNEI DARUSSALAM DELIVERS KEYNOTE ADDRESS TO CSC10

TANAH JAMBU, Friday, 17 July 2020 – The 10th Command and Staff Course (CSC 10) was honoured to receive the Philippine Ambassador to Brunei, His Excellency Christopher B. Montero and the Defence Attaché Colonel Jose Ricky A. Laniog in delivering a lecture pertaining to the Philippine Foreign Policy in a Regional and Bilateral Context. The conduct of the lecture differs from the previous cohort which was through online via zoom application in line with the government effort to contain the COVID 19 pandemic.

CSC10-2020 INTERNATIONAL NIGHT GIFT PACKAGE PRESENTATION

​BRUNEI DARUSSALAM, 4-5 JUNE 2020 - The participants of the 10th Command and Staff Course (CSC10) distributed an International Night gift package that includes a multinational cuisine platter, greeting card as well as a video clip presentation, to high-level and senior-level officials from the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) as well as Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD).
