ILIA Building, University Brunei Darussalam, 03 – 14 February 2025 – Officers from the 15th Command and Staff Course (CSC-15) have successfully commenced the first series to their Command Leadership and Management Module (CLM-1), an intensive leadership programme designed to enhance their command competencies and team-building capabilities.
With the theme “The Art of Leading Self and Building Teams,” CLM-1 equips participants with critical leadership skills essential for military command and strategic decision-making. Throughout the module, officers engaged in key areas of leadership development, including:
RBAF Leadership Model – Exploring the core leadership principles that shape the ethos of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF).
Islamic Leadership – Understanding leadership through the values and principles of Islamic teachings, fostering ethical decision-making.
Communications Management – Strengthening skills in strategic communication, conflict resolution, and influence.
Leadership Development Workshop – A hands-on workshop designed to refine leadership styles and enhance team cohesion.
By integrating these essential components, CLM-1 reinforces the participants’ ability to lead with confidence, inspire teams, and adapt to complex operational environments. The Command and Staff Course remains a cornerstone in developing future military leaders, ensuring they are well-prepared to take on higher responsibilities in service to their nation.
As part of CLM-1, participants also took on the CSC-15 Amazing Race, an exhilarating team challenge set against the scenic backdrop of the Eco-Corridor in Bandar Seri Begawan. Designed to foster teamwork, resilience, and strategic thinking, the competition brought out the best in the officers as they navigated a series of tasks. Syndicate 4 emerged victorious, demonstrating exceptional camaraderie, agility, and leadership throughout the race. The event served as a fitting culmination to the module, reinforcing the importance of unity and collaboration in leadership.
