TANAH JAMBU, Thursday, 10 October 2019 – A total of 30 officers completed the 9th Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Command and Staff Course (CSC) today at the Defence Academy, RBAF.
UN OCHA AND RHCC DELIVER LECTURES TO CSC 9
TANAH JAMBU, Friday, 05 September 2019 – Students and members of the Command and Staff College had the distinct opportunity to gain invaluable knowledge from two guest lecturers on civil and military coordination for humanitarian and disaster relief operations (HADR). Mr. Nidhirat Srisirirojanakorn from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA) in Bangkok, Thailand and Lieutenant Colonel Ho Wan Huo of the Singaporean Army from the Changi Regional Humanitarian Coordination Centre (RHCC) in Singapore delivered a three-day lecture to the 9th Cohort of the Command and Staff College.
MALAYSIAN PEACEKEEPING CENTRE DELIVERS LECTURE TO CSC 9
TANAH JAMBU, Thursday, 22 August 2019 – The 9th Command and Staff Course (CSC 9) received representatives from the Malaysian Peacekeeping Centre (MPC) to deliver lessons on “United Nations (UN) Peacekeeping Operations” at the Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF). The three-day workshop began on 20 August 2019, and was conducted by the MPC Chief Instructor, Lieutenant Colonel Sukiman bin Mohamed Ghani, and two instructors Major Haizal bin Mohamed Ariffin, and Major Mohd Noor Izam bin Abd Rahim. They were warmly welcomed by the Commandant of DA RBAF, Colonel Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan.
CSC 9 FAREWELL DINNER FOR DS3
MANGGIS, Tuesday, 16 July 2019 – The 9th Command and Staff Course (CSC9) Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) last night held a Farewell Dinner at the Emperor’s Court, Hua Ho Manggis Mall for Commander Daniel Peskett, Directing Staff 3 (DS3), Command and Staff College and who is also present as the Guest of Honour.
RBAIRF COMMANDER DELIVERS KEYNOTE ADDRESS TO CSC9
Tanah Jambu, Wednesday, 10 July 2019 – Yang Mulia Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat, Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) delivered a keynote address entitled “Future of the Air Force: Prospects and Challenges” to the participants of the 9th Command and Staff Course (CSC 9/2019) at the Command and Staff College, Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) today.
ACTING HIGH COMMISSIONER OF PAKISTAN DELIVERS LECTURE TO CSC9
TANAH JAMBU, Monday, 08 July 2019 – The Acting High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam, His Excellency Ahmed Ali Sirohey, delivered a lecture on “Prophets’ Battles and Islamic War Rules, Comparing to Modern War Conventions” to the 9th Command and Staff Course, Royal Brunei Armed Forces. His insights and perspectives proved professionally beneficial for the course participants and were highly appreciated. His Excellency also briefed the course on human rights, human dignity and the comparisons with Islamic values in the Prophets’ quest to promote peace, security, and justice. He also provided historical context on battles and treaties that resulted during a time when the superpower roles of the ancient world were shared between the Roman and Persian empires. The Acting High Commissioner was hosted by Lieutenant Colonel (U) Peter bin Ulat, Directing Staff 1 of Command and Staff College, Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
